Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd

When someone is elected to the Vestry, one of their first official acts is to...leave town. Ironically, going away for a day tends to bring the members closer to home in the ways that really matter.

Fr. Charles often reminds Vestry members that the Vestry is a spiritual group that sometimes makes practical decisions, not a board of directors that happens to work for a church. With this in mind, your Vestry will slip away to Grace Point on Friday to welcome new members (we're told the Vestry tattoo is optional), re-connect with existing members and find their center before settling in for the coming year's journey. It's a practice that might work for many groups, both in our church lives and our "outside" lives.
